Meet the Coaches

Head Coach –  Andrew Berthaume is an engineering student at Umass. He has swam for the Umass Varsity team. He swam for Minnechaug High School and the Wilbraham Falcons Swim Team and was an assistant coach for the Falcons as well. He has received MIAA Awards of excellence for sportsmanship and was a state and Western Mass championship swimmer throughout his high school career. He has been a life guard and swimming instructor of various ages.

Assistant Coach –  Mike Berthuame is a student at Umass, majoring in mechanical engineering with an anthropology minor.  Mike ranks second all-time at UMass in the 100 fly (48.73) and fifth all-time in the 200 fly (1:51.66).

Assistant Coach –  Andrea Geoffrey is a former Stingray swimmer and record holder.

Assistant Coach –  Dustin Hui is a graduate of Western New England Law, he was the captain of the SUNY at Buffalo varsity swim team and swam for the Greenwood Memorial Swim Club in Gardner as well as for the Gardner High School team where he was a state champion in the 500 yd free in 1998. He has experience as a life guard and as a swim instructor.

Assistant Coach – Jessica Jindella is a college student who has been a Stingray, Belchertown High School swimmer, and lifeguard.

Coaching Aide – Melanie Goodberlet, a current Stingrays swimmer, will assist with the younger swimmers.
