Announcements

Sunday Practices 6-8 are open to all Gold Group swimmers and those Silver Group swimmers who would like a challenge. A special invite list may be posted on the bulletin board as well.

A reminder that concessions fees are due ($8 per family) and can be given to Denise or Mary Fioravanti.

Championship fees are $12 per person and due by July 21st. If you don’t pay, you don’t get to swim. Make sure that you are signed up. We are not going to hunt people down to see if they are coming.

Parents, please sign up to help with champs.

SAVE THIS DATE: Saturday August 23rd. We will be having a car wash/bottle drive behind checkers from 10-2. There will be a sign up on the bulletin board. This is for kids and parents to help. Also our Banquet will be on that same day at 5:00pm. More information on the banquet will be coming out soon.

We will once again be having a booth at the fair. Sign ups for that will be up soon as well. If you work for a company that might donate prizes or cash to purchase prizes, please ask and we will list them on our sponsor board at the booth. We are looking for adult and children’s prizes.

Champs will be run as one large meet and not broken down into age group sessions.

We have never had championships at this facility so it will be new to all of us.

Parking: Ample parking next to the swimming pool.

Warm Up Information: PLEASE ARRIVE AT THE POOL BY 7:45am.
Warm up will be at 8:00am. There will be NO DIVING during General Warm Up. Enter the pool during General Warm Up feet first only. Diving is permitted during sprints in one-way lanes under the direct supervision of a coach!!

Admission: $2.00 (Children under 12 free of charge).

Program: $3.00

Refreshments: Refreshments will be available throughout the event. NO FOOD IS ALLOWED IN THE POOL AREA OR FIELD HOUSE.

EACH TEAM IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SUPERVISION IN THE FIELD HOUSE.

Apparel: A swim gear outfitter will be selling swim apparel. Western Mass Championship Event Shirts will also be available.

Swimmers will be allowed to swim 3 individual events and 2 relays.
Cost is $12 per swimmer. Checks can be made out to Stingrays.
Any swimmer who swam in two regular meets can swim at championships.

We will need parents to volunteer for timing, stroke and turn, and bull pen.

It is going to be a long day so please pack something for the kids to do while they wait, books, cards etc.
